Heidi Sabertooth is an artist and community organizer working at the intersection of electronic music, cultural access, and arts education. Active in New York City’s electronic music community since 2012, her practice spans music production, live performance, DJ culture, and synth hardware-based creative practices, with work presented through platforms including Good Room and The Lot Radio and releases on labels including BPitch and Lobster Theremin. With a background in community development and social work, Heidi’s broader practice explores how technology and collective cultural spaces can expand access within music communities. She co-founded Synth Library NYC in 2020 with Cy X and currently leads its strategic planning, financial oversight, operational infrastructure, and community programming.
Paria Almasi is a Brooklyn-based musician and visual artist. She writes spooky braindance music under the monikor Fairy Diamond and organizes a VA compilation album with friends called Plum , clu. As the Digital Media Specialist, Paria works to strengthen connections across the library member community and foster deeper participation in its work. She believes Synth Library NYC's initiatives are crucial for bridging the gender and socioeconomic divides prevalent in music technology.
Brian Abelson is a musician, programmer, and community organizer in New York City. He’s part of Bushwick Ayuda Mutua’s Tech Support Working Group and a board member of RAFT Foundation. He makes music under a number of aliases and with a slew of collaborators, most recently producing ambient and breakbeat-fueled shoegaze under the name fuzzyy. As Lead Librarian, Brian helps manage the systems that support gear sharing and inventory tracking, while contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the library’s collection of synthesizers and electronic music instruments.
